Stadthaus 1

The Stadthaus (German for townhouse) is - with eight floors of timber structure - the tallest habitable timber building in the world.

Strandparken 2

An apartment block rising a storey every 10 days on the Sundbyberg waterside in Stockholm is making news on several fronts.

Holz 8 - 1

Former barracks may currently be the most exciting construction site in Germany. A major investor is developing a zero energy town called City of Wood, and setting new standards in timber construction with the first eight-story building of its kind.

Limnologen Precinct 2

ArkitektBolaget has had the privilege in the past few years of working together with inspiring structural designers and visionary clients on a number of wood development projects. In 2005 the Municipality of Växjö resolved to strengthen the city's profile as a city of wood builders.

Bridport 3

The original 1960s building at the brown-field site had been made of concrete and was no longer fit for purpose. Concrete was the first material considered in planning the new development, however, a site appraisal exposed serious constraints to the weight on the foundations due to a Victorian storm relief sewer running diagonally below.
